Depression is a very common mental health problem and world-wide over 350 million people of all ages are affected by it. In the UK alone it is thought that at least 1 in 10 people will experience depression at some time in their lives, from the very young to the very old.
In its mildest form many people feel they are able to continue with everyday life and try to develop coping mechanisms when they feel low. For some people, though, depression can lead to suicidal thoughts and self- harm. If this is you, please make sure you contact your G.P. to discuss this with them and ensure you have a coping plan in place that distracts this thinking.
The good news is depression is treatable. With the use of CBT, Hypnotherapy and NLP techniques, we can work together to develop coping techniques and changes specifically for you.
