Habits and Addiction
What is the difference between a habit and an addiction?
-
With addiction - there is a psychological/physical component; the person is unable to control the aspects of the addiction without help because of the mental or physical conditions involved.
-
With habit - it is done by choice. The person with the habit can choose to stop, and will subsequently stop successfully if they want to, as the psychological/physical component is not as prevalent as it is with an addiction.
However, a habit can also develop into an addicition, as some people may start to experience damaging psychological and/or physical effects when they try to stop the habit due to continuous reliance on the habit over time.
Through hypnotherapy I can work with you to identify and tackle these issues and their triggers.
